As CEO, Michael oversees all operations and investor relations for Romeo Power, one of the most advanced energy storage start-ups. It all began in 2014 when a handful of innovators from Tesla, SpaceX, Amazon, and Samsung set out to end energy poverty around the world. And Romeo Power was born. With deep tribal knowledge from the design, development, and deployment of the most powerful and sophisticated battery packs on the planet, they assembled a team of leading engineers and industrial designers to take energy technology beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.
Prior to starting Romeo Power, Michael was a serial entrepreneur launching and successfuly exiting firms in the wireless and mobile security technology. These firms include FedCel, acquired by Profitline, Smobile Systems, acquired by Juniper in 2010, InAuth acquired by AMEX in 2016 and Romeo Power (Energy Technology).
Michael Patterson lives in the Pacific Palisades, has been married 25 years and has 3 children. He is an avid trail runner, explorer and power sports enthusiast.1
