Gene Lee is a Senior Contract Manager in the Energy Procurement group at Southern California Edison, one of the largest electric utilities in the United States serving approximately 15 million people in a 50,000 square mile area. In his 10 years at SCE, Gene has contracted with power assets, both In Front of and Behind the meter. Most recently Gene led procurement activities (Local Capacity Requirements, Energy Storage RFO, Preferred Resources Pilot, Aliso Canyon Energy Storage) for Distributed Energy Resources that have resulted in acquisition of more than 450 Megawatts of energy storage on behalf of SCE’s customers. Gene is a regular contributor at energy related regulatory forums in California.
Gene received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University and his MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
