Panel: Community Choice Aggregation – Power to the Community

Community Choice Energy programs have taken the nation by storm, allowing communities and municipalities to procure renewable energy options as an alternative to traditional utility energy supply. CCE’s are particularly important in California, supplying one third of traditional utility customers with the potential to serve 85% of the state’s power by the mid-2020’s.

Julia Pyper of Greentech Media will discuss LA County’s emerging CCE with Ted Bardacke, Executive Director of the Clean Power Alliance, and Samuel Golding, President of Community Choice Partners and dive into the evolving business model, increasing need for inter-agency cooperation, implications for traditional utilities, and challenges and opportunities for the CCE model ahead.
